Light where
data is dark.
Nyra is an independent data science and research house. We build the datasets, the models and the institutional-grade research that frontier markets are missing — starting with the Maldives.
Three disciplines, one standard.
Data engineering
We ingest primary sources — statistical releases, government PDFs, registries — into validated, versioned datasets. Every artifact carries its lineage; schema drift fails loudly.
Models & forecasts
No model ships unless it beats the naive baseline. Forecasts are published with their backtests and their uncertainty bands — read the band, not just the line.
Institutional research
Long-form research built the way an investment committee expects: tiered evidence, cross-checked figures, stated limitations, and conclusions you can trace back to a source.
The industry that carries the Maldivian economy — arrivals, source markets, accommodation mix, demand elasticities, and a live 12-month forecast.
New program · July 2026An institutional deep-dive into Maldivian land, housing and property — macro foundations, market evidence, valuation, risk and the twenty-year outlook.
Evidence has tiers.
We label ours.
Most writing about frontier markets blurs the line between an official statistic, a developer's asking price and a rumor. We don't. Every important number we publish is tagged with what it is and where it came from — and when the data doesn't exist, we say so instead of inventing it.
Authority comes from methodology, sample sizes and source lines — never from stock photos or bios. Read the full method.
NYRA — from the Arabic for radiant light. We work the way moonlight does: patient observation, reflected clarity.
