About

Radiant light.

Nyra is Arabic for radiant light. It is also a description of the job: frontier markets run on scarce, scattered, unreliable information — and decisions worth millions get made in that darkness. We build the light.

The house 01

A research house, not a content shop.

Nyra is an independent market intelligence and strategic advisory firm focused on the Maldives. We do three things: engineer datasets from primary sources, build models that have to beat honest baselines before they ship, and write institutional-grade research — the kind prepared for investment committees, development banks and sovereign-risk desks.

That research is the credibility layer. Underneath it sits the commercial one: bespoke market studies, feasibility and financial analysis, and decision support for businesses, investors and institutions that need an answer to a specific question rather than a general map. The published work is how you judge whether we can do the private work.

We began with tourism, the industry that carries the economy, then opened real estate. People — population, labour and domestic demand — is the third programme, and the connective tissue between the rest. Economy, business and infrastructure follow. See the research →

The method 02

Tiered evidence

An official statistic is not a developer's asking price is not a rumor. Every important number we publish carries a tier tag — OFFICIAL, ASKING, LISTING, INDUSTRY-EST, MEDIA, OWN-CALC — and a source line. Where data doesn't exist, we say so.

Reproducible pipelines

Data artifacts are versioned and immutable, validated by schemas, and carry lineage — the run, the code revision and the input hash that produced them. If the pipeline can't reproduce a number, we don't publish it.

Honest models

No forecast ships unless it beats the seasonal-naive baseline out of sample. Backtest metrics are embedded in every forecast artifact, and uncertainty bands are part of the product — not a disclaimer.

Trust 03

No faces. Just method.

You will not find founder portraits or stock "team" photography here. Authority, in our view, comes from methodology notes, sample sizes and source lines — things you can check — not from biography. Judge us by whether the numbers hold up.

RESEARCH IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND IS NOT INVESTMENT ADVICE.
