Nyra Outlook · First edition in preparation

The whole economy, once a year.

Nyra Outlook is the firm's annual cross-market assessment of the Maldivian economy: one volume covering economy, people, tourism, real estate, infrastructure and business, on a single vantage date, with the risks and scenarios set out in one place rather than scattered across separate papers.

Why this page exists before the publication does

The Outlook publishes when the underlying programmes can carry it — not before. Three of the six markets have live research programmes today; three do not. An annual assessment that summarised public information for the missing three would undermine the standard the rest of the work is held to.

What we can publish now is the scope, the structure and the rules the edition will be built to. They are set out below so that the standard is on the record in advance, and so the first edition can be judged against a commitment made before it was written.

Editorial rules Fixed in advance
One vantage date

Every figure in the edition is stated as of a single cut-off, so chapters can be read against each other without silent vintage mixing.

Every number tiered

The same evidence tiers used across Nyra research, carried into print.

Scenarios, not predictions

Forward paths are labelled scenarios with their assumptions listed. Only backtested model output is called a forecast.

Gaps stated

A standing chapter on what the Maldives does not measure, and what each missing series would change.

Two editions Digital & print

Digital

The full edition on this site — interactive charts with their underlying data one click away, cross-links between chapters, and the source and tier attached to every figure. Corrections and data revisions are versioned rather than silently applied.

Print

A typeset institutional volume built from the same content, for readers who work on paper — boards, lenders, ministries. Restrained design, high information density, full citations. It is a research document, not a brochure: no stock photography, no client logos, no claims that are not in the digital edition.
