Applied intelligence

What the research looks like pointed at a decision.

Research maps a market. A decision needs a number, a range around it, and a recommendation someone can be held to. These are worked demonstrations of the second thing — the same evidence standard as the published research, applied end to end to a specific commercial question, with the model shown and the answer stated.

NOT CLIENT WORK

Every analysis on this page is Nyra Independent Analysis. No client commissioned any of it, no client is named or implied, and every scenario is hypothetical. We publish no client case studies at all — and will not until there are engagements whose clients have agreed to publication on their own terms. The method is real; the projects are invented so that the method can be shown in public.

Capability matrix Service × market

A filled cell means a published analysis demonstrates that capability in that market. Empty cells are honest: the capability exists as a service, but nothing public yet demonstrates it, and we would rather show the gap than tick the box.

Infrastructure and land value

What happened to Hulhumalé land after the Sinamalé bridge — and can the effect be separated from the housing supply that arrived at the same time?

Hospitality development

What would make a Maldives hotel viable? Blocked on a real gap: no public ADR or RevPAR series exists, only occupancy by facility type.

How these are built Every one, the same way
01
The decision

One question, stated before any analysis begins, phrased so that it can be answered wrongly.

02
The evidence

Public sources only, each tiered. Where the record runs out, the analysis says so rather than filling the gap.

03
The model

Built from the evidence, published with its assumptions, and cross-checked against something it was not fitted to.

04
The scenarios

Base, upside, downside and — where it matters — severe. Assumptions itemised so each can be argued with separately.

05
The confidence

Reported three ways: evidence, model and recommendation, because they routinely differ.

06
What would change our mind

The findings that would overturn the conclusion, listed before anyone else has to point them out.
